2011 marked the first year of the annual spring film festival: Swan Film Festival - which was held in Midland Perth, Western Australia in September, in conjunction with the City of Swan, from the 22nd of September to the 25th of September 2011.
The festival showcased local films, Australian films, and International ones.
The festival included full length features, as well as shorts, documentaries and music video clips.
A focus was made on Perth Films, including Rose's Portrait, Kittens of Woodlake, I am Bish, and the award winning film Minor Head Injury.
On Thursday the 22nd of September, guests were treated to canape's and screenings of the previews of the official selected films, the Crystal Swan Award nominated films, and the first selection of Australian Shorts - including The Crocodiles Wife, Abbie, Who do you think you are? - and more.
Currently, there are no further dates for a Swan Film Festival in 2012.
